The Center for Creative Alternatives, which began in February, 2006 under the auspices of Creative Alternatives (CANY) as a collaboration between Emily Nash, Creative Alternatives Artistic Director, and Dr. Robert Landy, NYU therapeutic theater Program Director, has evolved into the Institute for therapeutic theater (IDT), an independent institute focused on training a wide range of professionals within the therapeutic theater community at large.
