Using Drama Therapy with Adolescents

We'll hold "An Introduction to Drama Therapy" on 10/29/11 and 12/4/11.

CANY Program Manager Heidi Landis and Program Assistant Jason Frydman will be presenters at the Second Annual Expressive Therapies Summit here in NYC from 11/10-11/13. The event offers an inspiring program of papers, panels, half-day workshops, and full-day classes, emphasizing hands-on, interactive participation. Continuing education credits are available. Jonathan Hilton, CANY Executive Director, will serve as panel moderator at the conference on Youth Violence Prevention and Positive Development. The all-day conference, featuring nationally renowned speakers, will be held on Tuesday, June 28th in Hartford, CT. The event is FREE and open to the public. Pre-Registration required.

This FREE six week drama therapy group is geared towards teens in grades 9-12 who may be struggling with personal, community or family issues. The sessions will run from July 7 through August 11, 2011, meeting every Thursday from 3:30-5:00PM. For more information and to sign up, please contact Heidi Landis at CANY.

CANY's annual benefit will be held on Monday, May 16th.

CANY is pleased to announce that the NASW has granted us permission to use its Continuing Education Approval Seal in conjunction with our new six-week training program, Drama As Therapy. Up to 18 hours of CEUs will be granted through this program.
