Meredith Dean, RDT, LCAT, CASAC-T completed her MA (summa cum laude) in Drama Therapy at NYU and was the recipient of the award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Internship. She received her BA (cum laude) from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she concentrated in Psychology and Educational Theatre. At CANY, Meredith has worked with inpatient adult psychiatric clients, at-risk youth, traumatized children and survivors of domestic violence. She has also worked with incarcerated adult men and women at maximum and medium security New York State prisons. In addition to her post as the National Association for Drama Therapy (NADT)’s Scholarly Publication Committee Chair, Meredith is also on the NADT’s Education Committee. She is currently Lafayette Medical Approach’s Counseling and Treatment Planning Consultant and Head Drama Teacher at Stone Ridge School’s Summer Campus.
